IMAP setup example for Mac Mail
Introduction
The contents shown here have been confirmed to operate under the following environment.
Device: MacBook Air
OS: Mac OS X (Ver.10.10.1 Yosemite)
Mail Ver. 8.1 (standard email software)
Please perform the following procedure.
When setting up, Keio Apps ID and Password for mail software are required. Please check your Keio Apps ID and password for mail software in advance. The checking method is the following.
Procedure 1: Setting up in the Gmail

Log into the Gmail, and then click the gear icon in the top right corner.

Click "Settings"

Click "Forwarding and POP/IMAP".

Turn on "Enable IMAP" in "IMAP Access", then click "Save Changes"
Procedure 2: Setting up in Mac Mail software.

Click the [Mail] icon in the Dock at the bottom of the desktop.

Click "Mail" at the top of the screen, then "Add account".

Select "Add Other Mail Account...", then click "Continue"

Enter with reference to the following table and screen images then click "Create".
Email address Enter Keio ID
Example: keio-taro@keio.jp
Note: Make sure that you also include the part after the "@" mark.
The Keio ID acquired before March, 2015 (like the following) is also usable.
Example: keio-taro@xx.keio.jpPassword Enter the password for your email software.
Go here to check your email software password.

Click "Next".

Enter the receiving server information with reference to the following table and screen images.
Account Type IMAP Mail Server imap.gmail.com User Name Enter yourKeio Apps ID.
Example: keio-taro@keio.jp
Note: Make sure that you also include the part after the "@" mark.Password Enter the password for your email software.
Go here to check your email software password.

Enter the sending server information with reference to the following table and screen images.
SMTP Server smtp.gmail.com User NAme Enter your Keio Apps ID.
Example: keio-taro@keio.jp
Note: Make sure that you also include the part after the "@" mark.Password Enter the password for your email software.

If there is a problem with sending or receiving email after carrying out the above setup procedures, check the settings using the method below. -
How to check the receiving mail server.
Click the [Mail] icon in the Dock at the bottom of the desktop. -
Click "Mail" at the top of the screen, then "Preferences".

Click the "Accounts" tab.

Check the receiving server information with reference to the following table and screen images.
Account Type IMAP Mail Server imap.gmail.com User Name Enter yourKeio Apps ID.

How to check the sending mail server.
Procedure 2: Carry out Steps 1 - 3 to display the email account settings screen.
Click "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)".
Port 465 Use SSL Insert check Authentication Password User name Enter your Keio Apps ID
