(Q1) What is Keio Mail?
(A1) It is a university-wide common mail system that all the faculty members and students at Keio University can use.
Keio Mail can be used from a Web browser. You can send and receive email messages anytime and
anywhere you have an Internet connection.
(Q2) Who can use Keio Mail?
(A2) As of October 2007, full-time faculty members, part-time faculty members, and students are entitled to use Keio Mail.
We plan to extend the coverage of the user base to students of our unified Keio-affiliated schools and alumni (Jukuin).
(Q3) Can I use Keio Mail after I graduate or leave the university?
(A3) At the present time, you can use Keio Mail only while you are enrolled at Keio University.
(Q4) I want to use Keio Mail. What should I do?
(A4) You can use Keio Mail with your keio.jp (Keio Single Sign-On System)
account.
If you already have a keio.jp (Keio Single Sign-On System)
account, you can use Keio Mail by selecting "Keio Mail" on the window that appears after you log into keio.jp.
If you have not yet obtained your Keio ID, please go through activation to obtain one.

(Q5) What is the difference between the mail systems operated by the local ITC or faculties, and Keio Mail.
(A5) Keio Mail is a university-wide common mail system provided by ITC.
The mail system operated by local ITC is set up within each campus and a user must obtain an account for each campus.
On the other hand, if you have a Keio Mail account, you can use the mail system at any campus.
(Q6) Will the mail system operated by local ITC and faculties still be usable in the future?
(A6) As of this writing, the mail system for local ITC continues to be operated. Also, the mail systems for the faculties continue to be usable.
(Q7) Am I supposed to use Keio Mail as my main account from now on?
(A7) The mail systems provided by each region's ITC and faculties continue to be usable. Keio Mail is a Web-based mail system and has its own characteristics. Effectively manage and use both systems to suit your needs.
(Q8) I don't need Keio Mail.
(A8) All the users of keio.jp can use Keio Mail. However, this does not mean you are required to use it. Please use the system to suit your needs.
(Q9) Can I use my current email address for Keio Mail as well?
(A9) No. The email address for Keio Mail is your Keio ID. On the other hand, in Keio Mail, you can receive email addressed to other email addresses using the POP protocol. So you are able to read and write messages for other mail systems through Keio Mail.
(Q10) Are there any fees charged for using Keio Mail?
(A10) The fee for Keio Mail is included in the network usage fee for ITC.
